You may have seen it: a viral video making the rounds online of a colossal triangular billboard toppling over during a windstorm, smashing a number of parked cars as it hits the ground.

The incident happened in Dongguan at around 3pm last Thursday, August 31, when the bolts securing the billboard to the ground gave out amid strong winds. According to a report carried by Channel NewsAsia, an initial investigation has indicated that the bolts at the base of the giant sign were rusty.

While, thankfully, no one was injured when the billboard came down, a number of cars parked outside a bank suffered broken windows and one car was reportedly completely totaled.
