Sad news for patrons of Gail’s American Cuisine & Bar: the restaurant's 9-year tenure on Huali Lu, in Zhujiang New Town, has come to an end. Opened in 2000, the restaurant spent 8 years on Taojin Lu before relocating to Zhujiang New Town.
The closure is the result of an “official order,” which was levied due to the establishment’s inability – despite relentless efforts – to meet the area’s “restaurant kitchen emission” standards, according to a post on Gail’s official WeChat account.
Gail’s officially closed its doors today, September 1.
Fortunately for fans of the Western eatery, Gail’s has no plans to throw in the towel, with one of its proprietors telling That’s: “Gail’s will be back soon.”
No word yet on where the restaurant will be relocating, but we have it on good authority that it will still be in Zhujiang New Town.
