It appears the scorching temperatures in South China – and across the country – have finally caused some to crack. Either that or there is far less to do in Guangzhou than we previously thought (clearly these people haven’t explored our Daytripper series).
Why else would young women, men and even babies be posing in dresses freshly tailored (read: bitten) from slices of watermelon?
The 'fun' summertime fad, as reported by China Daily last week, seems to be spreading rapidly across Guangdong’s capital, as students at Guangzhou University Town pose for photos in scandalously short watermelon sundresses while parents force their babies to model fruity onesies.
Words simply can’t describe the allure of watermelon apparel, which is why we’ve rounded up a few photos to give you an idea of how to rock your own juicy garb (send your pics to editor.prd@urbanatomy.com and we will add them to this post). Enjoy!
