Calling all PRD-based Canadians, from the geezers who arrived back when the Elephant & Castle was still serving pints, to the Johnny-come-latelies still adapting to the region’s torrential rains and sweltering heat – Canada is turning 150 and it’s time to party!
This year’s premier Canada Day event will be held atop the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre, on the hotel’s helipad (which we’re beginning to think was built specifically for throwing parties).
Organized by the Canadian PRD Network, in conjunction with the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre, this event is the opportune chance to celebrate all the Canadian greats – John A. Macdonald, Rick Hansen, Gretzky, Nickelback – while sipping on free-flow BrewDog beer and rum- and vodka-based mixed drinks.
While enjoying the commanding views offered from the hotel’s roof, which is a stomach-churning 63 stories above Yuexiu District, guests will also be treated to performances from four Canadian musical acts – including Little Junior, whose members are traveling from the Great White North specially for the party.
Tickets, which are RMB300, get you access to the party and the three hours of free-flow booze mentioned above, as well as a spot on the shuttle bus to Suns Club for the after party. To purchase tickets, scan the QR Code in the poster below:
300 people, 63 floors up, four Canadian rockers – a party 150 years in the making.
