We Chatted With POSH, House Band at the W Guangzhou’s Fei Club

At Fei Club at the W Guangzhou, style and music are synonymous. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi about this hotel, and you can tell as soon as you walk through their doors. It's sexy, smooth and timeless. And adding to that pizzazz is POSH, resident band at Fei Club.

Hailing from various backgrounds but joined in musical forces for their compatibility and desire to make good music, the foursome perform a top 40 repertoire that is smart, well-polished and cheeky – loaded with more riffs than you can fit into the trunk of a Camaro.

In the spirit of sharing the love, we at That’s got the chance to chat with the guys and gal from POSH.

Bernard Ferrier – Keyboard
Marlon Smith – Drums
Luke Fellone – Singer
Kristina Bielichenko – Singer

What makes POSH so… posh?
Our style, our look, our vibe. We’re upscale, upbeat and know quality when we see it. Oh, and we can sing and dance too!

You’re all transplants. How and when did you all meet?
Here in Guangzhou! We all came together to perform, and we love the city. Its green, the food is great, and the shopping is just phenomenal.

What artists would you not want to live without?
Bruno Mars, Bob Marley, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder and Justin Timberlake. We live and breathe these icons. We do lots of Top 40, anything from RnB and dance to soft rock and Latin. We’re so diverse, yet we bring it all together on stage and it’s so seamless. Come and see for yourself…

What does your warm-up routine look like?
We meet 15 minutes before, and its a lot of oohing and aahing, and rolling of our tongues. We do rudimentary workouts to get us all in the mood and ready for a few solid hours of rocking the dance floor.

Which musical bigwig would you bed, if given the opportunity?
James Franco and Rihanna, in a heartbeat.

Are you friends off the stage?
Yes! We do dinners, BBQ’s, trips to explore the city… did we say dinners? We also mean drinks!

Quick Few for the Road…

Drink of choice?
Long Island ice tea! It’s just tea, after all!

Go-to party trick?
Pulling the audience on stage and pouring tequila straight from the bottle in their mouths. They love it.

Favorite song to get everyone going?
‘Give Me Everything Tonight,’ by Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack. Always a hit with the ladies!

POSH play at Fei from Mondays to Saturdays, from 10pm till 1.40am.
