It’s that time of the year again: springtime in Guangzhou. Anyone who's lived here for a few years knows the season means warding off mold, dealing with perpetually damp clothing and waking up to dense fog every day.
The seasonal fog phenomena was on full display this weekend, with Guangzhou shrouded in a thick, wet haze that looked straight out of the 2007 horror film The Mist.
March and April are traditionally the PRD’s foggiest months, with cold air from the north meeting the warm, wet air of south China, causing humidity, rain and, obviously, fog.
If you were anything like us, you probably didn’t venture far from home this weekend, either because you were scared of what could be lurking in the mist (see above), or because none of your clothes had dried after your last load of laundry.
