Ever since the first K2Fit Challenge took the Pearl River Delta by storm in 2013, our community has behaved, well, differently.
It's not uncommon, for example, to see people doing handstands or burpees in bars. Partiers that once vowed never to sleep before 5am now rise at that hour to buff up at boot camp. Even the greasiest burger joints in town have changed their ways, introducing nutritious options so groups of K2Fit challengers can still go out to eat without abandoning their meal plans.
In short, while the K2Fit fitness and nutrition program is tailored to transform you into the ULTIMATE version of yourself (aka an unstoppably sexy, healthy and confident human), it will also introduce you to an entire community of people who have your back – or, in the rare chance that you do become one of those people who does handstands in clubs, your ankles.
And ‘workout buddies’ doesn’t even begin to describe the kind of relationship you'll have with your teammates. Just check out the Zhuhai team love below:
Whereas the previous 10-week challenge wrapped up in late autumn (when hot bods have no choice but to hide under jeans and oversized sweaters), Ultimate You Season 5 commences March 13 and concludes May 22 – just in time for bathing suit season!
If that’s not motivating enough, the host of discounts offered to K2Fit competitors at various Western restaurants in town (see the complete list of sponsors here) may very well do the trick.
And now for a bit of background: founded by Kara Wutzke, a certified fitness coach from Canada with more than 15 years’ experience in health and fitness training, the K2Fit Challenge helps participants realize their fitness potential by offering custom workouts, meal plans, wholesome recipes, exercise tips and more.
If you’ve read this far, we’re going to assume you wouldn’t mind looking a little more like Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Don Jon, in which case you should sign up for the next challenge via the K2Fit website between February 27 and March 9.
For more instructions and a detailed rundown of how the challenge will work, visit the site or follow KaraK2Fit on WeChat.
All participants are invited to attend the upcoming K2Fit launch parties on February 25 at The Brew in Shenzhen, February 26 at The London Lounge in Zhuhai and March 5 at The Brew Zhujiang in Guangzhou. It’s gonna be EPIC, so stay tuned!
Finally, since this post feels oddly like a pep talk, we're going to leave you with an inspirational Chinese proverb to reinforce the positive vibes happening right now:
“Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.”
See you cool kids at the launch!
