No doubt many of us will be feeling a little rough around the edges on January 1 and what better way to overcome the hangover blues than with a banging brunch?

Sure, you could just pop an ibuprofen, crush a Pocari Sweat and order take out – but the following options seem much more attractive: 


Aroma Bistro – All-Day Breakfast and Happy Hour

Enjoy an all-day breakfast at Aroma Bistro this Sunday for only RMB68. The meal includes buttered toast, chicken sausage, British baked beans, grilled bacon, a fried egg and boiled baby potatoes. There will also be an all-day buy-one-get-one-free deal on house wine, select cocktails and beer!

The Brew Bar & Bistro - Brunch/Drink Special/Happy Hour

Calling all Canadians! In addition to their hearty brunch menu, The Brew in Zhujiang will be offering hungover Guangzhouers 50 percent off Caesars all New Year’s Day. If you are looking to feel extra Canadian, order an English breakfast poutine (RMB68) to snack on while you sip on the world’s ‘greatest hangover cure.’ The Brew's evening happy hour will still be in effect.

The Happy Monk - Brunch/Evening Happy Hour

When we're hungover, we have a shortlist of eateries that can fix the damage done the night before – The Monk is one of these spots. With a new brunch menu and friendly service, a New Year’s Day stop at The Happy Monk is sure to get 2017 started on the right foot. Evening happy hour runs from 5-7.30pm.

Hooley’s Irish Pub - All-Day Breakfast/Drink Special/Happy Hour 

For RMB75, you can dine on Hooley’s Dubliner breakfast, which includes two eggs, Irish style pork sausage, imported bacon, baked beans, hash browns, sauteed mushrooms and whole-wheat toast! This epic breaky is available all day, along with 50 percent off bloody marys. The normal evening happy hour will still be in effect.

McCawley’s Irish Pub - Brunch/All-Day Happy Hour 

It’s business as usual at McCawley’s this Sunday, which means hungry guests can expect a selection of tasty breakfasts crafted by legendary chef Rodrigo González. Alternatively, if you’re one of those weird people that doesn’t like to eat when you are hungover, visit McCawely’s for their all-day happy hour which runs from 10am-10pm.

Social&Co. - Brunch/Evening Happy Hour 

Start 2017 off with our That’s PRD Food and Drink Awards ‘Brunch of the Year,’ as chosen by our readers. Brunch runs from 11.30am-3pm, but, if that seems too early for you, make a point of hitting Social&Co.’s happy hour, which runs from 5-7pm (let’s be honest, you have Monday off anyway…).
