The rooftop helipad at Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre is back in action this weekend, but this time not for a booze- and DJ-fueled party. This Sunday, Guangzhouers are invited to join local fitness icon Kara Wutzke for the Helipad Charity Bootcamp, which is raising money for children battling cancer.
The event, which is open to teens and adults, starts at 8.30am with a meet and greet before the 9-10am K2Fit fitness bootcamp. Once the workout is over, attendees will be treated to a healthy breakfast on the rooftop, courtesy of the culinary geniuses at the Crowne Plaza.
“The Helipad Charity Bootcamp was my way of giving back after all the support I received when I needed it most,” said Wutzke, who recently went through her own battle with cancer. “Kids With Cancer, through the Wilber Foundation, allows me to do this by asking the community to come together for an amazing event, a workout plus a healthy breakfast afterwards.”
The event, which is being filmed, is a cause that's easy to get onboard with: for the reasonable price of RMB300, you get a workout, meal and commanding view of our fair city. Oh, and that warm-inside feeling associated with doing something good for those who need it most!
Limited spots are available, so contact Wutzke (at WeChat ID: Karak2fit) to register.
