Overnight celebrity Caroline Hasl has apparently found the support she needed to bring her dogs safely into China after both were held in cargo at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport this week following a visa problem.
On Monday night at around 10pm, she thanked a friend for offering to help but claimed that “everything has almost been solved, with the help of many many people, and I want to say thank you so much!”
At least 300 people added Hasl on WeChat after she used the social platform to seek help for her two pets this past weekend.
In the post – which very quickly went viral – Hasl explained she had hired a pet relocation company to help bring her two dogs from Europe to Guangzhou, but was notified after landing that she could only enter China with one dog – the other needed to be accompanied by someone else who had landed in Guangzhou from Europe in the past seven days.
Hasl added that the dogs had been stuck in cargo for three days “without anyone giving them water or food” and that she just wanted to “help my dogs out of this misery no matter the cost.”
The description apparently struck a sympathetic chord among animal lovers and, well, pretty much everyone on WeChat, as the post was shared and reposted thousands of times in both English and Chinese between Monday, August 29 and Tuesday, August 30. From Shanghai to Guangzhou and all cities in between, everyone seemed desperate to help the two little canines from Europe.
We’re guessing Hasl is very grateful for the outpouring of support but also overwhelmed with messages and phone calls, so please let your friends know that all is well with the two pups and there’s no need to keep sharing the post.
