Join this year’s China International Food Exhibition and learn about the latest trends in the food and beverage industry. July 1: Li Yundi’s Recital
Li Yundi, the youngest pianist to win the International Chopin Piano Competition, has been called the ‘prince of piano,’ ‘Chopin of the 21st century’ and ‘China’s leading pianist.’ Since 2000, Li has been active among world-renowned concert halls and music festivals, performing under the baton of esteemed conductors and collaborating with the world’s best orchestras. If you’ve been lucky enough to see Li perform before, you know this recital is not to be missed.

July 2: The Salon Presents: Daily News
A create-your-own-narrative event featuring performances and interactive media, this month’s salon invites you to share any piece of news that is significant to you. July 3: Ton Koopman and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra
Musical guru Ton Koopman is bringing the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra to Guangzhou this July. As its founder, Koopman has led the orchestra to perform in a number of prestigious music halls, such as Lincoln Center in New York and Barbican Centre in London. Educated in classical music, Koopman is an organist and a harpsichordist and has contributed to various recordings and performances of Bach’s works throughout the past 10 years. See this musical master together with the whole Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and enjoy a selection of classical pieces from Mozart and Bach.

Ongoing: Face of God – The Rare Masks from Central Africa
In the mysterious traditions of Africa, masks have long played a unique and sacred role. Images of female dancers donning masks have been spotted on cliffs in South Africa, while the disguises are often worn during special rituals, including rite of passage ceremonies or in the daily lives by some tribes. This exhibition, entitled Face of God, will showcase 110 different masks, including instruments used to create them. Stop by for a rare look into this fascinating ritual.
