Duanwu Festival may be over but it’s not too late to catch the biggest dragon boat competition in Guangzhou!
On Wednesday, June 15, from 10am-4pm, professional teams from all over the world will go head-to-head in a series of races on the Pearl River.
Competitors will gather at the north gate of Sun Yat-Sen University and head east along the river towards Guangzhou Daodao Zhong (Guangzhou Middle Avenue).
Public viewing areas will be located to the east of the university gate and across the water on Ersha Island, west of Xinghai Concert Hall (see map below).

Guangzhou police will monitor and blockade surrounding roads during and leading up to the event. Spectators should plan for traffic delays and get to the race early to ensure a good view!
