On the occasion of Croisements 60, the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France and the 18th edition of the Croisements Festival, the New Zealand Consulate-General, Guangzhou alongside the Consulate-General of France in Guangzhou and GZDOC Park are co-hosting a French cultural film screening. The film screening will take place from 18:15 to 21:00, Tuesday May 28 2024, at DOC Park, Guangzhou and is in celebration of the 77th Cannes Film Festival currently taking place.

The documentary ‘Jane Campion, la femme cinéma’ premiered at the Cannes Festival in 2022, and is directed by French director Ms Julie Bertuccelli. The film documents the life of New Zealand film director Dame Jane Campion, who was the first woman to win the Palme d’Or at Cannes, for The Piano, and last year received two Academy Awards for The Power of The Dog.
