Chunyang Yao is a composer, vocalist and electronic improviser of Naxi descent born in Lijiang, China. Her/e is a performance presented as sound theater that integrates electronic music, sound installations and Chunyang Yao’s movements. This will be Yao’s first performance with a relatively content of Naxi. It will show Yao’s reflection on her Naxi identity after years of being away from her hometown. In addition, she intends to illustrate the mutual relationship between sound and body, where is the body moves to the sound, and the movement of the body stimulates some symbolic sounds.
