British artist Maggi Hambling’s first exhibition in China, For Beauty is Nothing But The Beginning of Terror will open on July 28th, 2019 at the Guangdong Museum of Art. The exhibition was presented in Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum (CAFAM) in Beijing earlier this year, receiving immense praise. The career-length exhibition, which showcases about 60 Maggi Hambling’s works from the 1960s to the present day, includes oil paintings, ink, graphite, charcoal drawings as well as a number of wooden sculptures.
