Taiga is a rich land of Eastern Siberia: There are elks, a forest of pines, mountains, grassland and rivers. Taiga is also name of the home of the Tuvans in China. Formed by members from Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia in 2014, the band Taiga is largely influenced by the Tuvinian band Huun Huur Tu. They studied the music of the nomadic people and creatively combine khoomei, a Tuvan throat singing, and shamanic music, playing characteristic instruments like the morin khuur.
