Before Iranian harpsichord player Mahan Esfahani went to Stanford University where he studied musicology and music history, he, when a young boy, was guided on harpsichord by his father. A BBC New Generation Artist from the year 2008 to 2010, Esfahani has been tirelessly promoting harpsichord as a mainstream concert instrument.
