Organized by the Art Museum of China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, Time Test emphasizes video art in two interrelated yet independent exhibitions. The first, Moving Time: Video Art at 50, 1965-2015, is curated by Caitlin Doherty and presents work that has significantly influenced the development of video art over the last 50 years. Curated by Dong Bingfeng and Wang Chunchen, the second exhibition, Screen Test: Chinese Video Art Since the 1980s, focuses on a systematic review of landmark video art created by ethnically Chinese artists over the last 30 years.
