Housed in a historic edifice dating back to the late Qing Dynasty, the Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum sits nestled in the southwest corner of Martyrs' Park and documents the historic struggles ofthe people of the province to resist imperialism and reform their society, from the Opium Wars to the founding of the PRC.
Exhibits on the second floor comprise the Guangzhou Museum of Modern History, cataloging the city’s rise from an early manufacturing center to an important trading port to the modern megalopolis we know and love.
