Paradise India is an inconspicuous restaurant tucked behind Hayat Supermarket and next to Sufan Parlour on Xingsheng Lu. It boasts no indoor seating and no fancy decorations – instead choosing to make its name on good food and fair, honest prices. Paradise India proprietor Mahesh Jagtiani is no stranger to Guangzhou curry lovers. Having opened Namaste India 12 years ago in Panyu, Jagtiani is more than proud of the food he serves, boasting on our last visit of his Diwali catering conquests at a number of Guangzhou’s top hotels – including the Shangri-La and Sheraton.
