Mirrored Gardens, a joint project between Vitamin Creative Space and Sou Fujimoto, a Japanese architect known for his permeable, delicate structures, doesn’t follow the same routine as art districts 798 or Redtory. The space, which hosts regular international exhibitions every month, is not trying to lure imitator artists to spend too much on a latte or yellowed Mao posters. There’s not even a coffee shop on site. Instead, the gardens aim to create a confluence of contemporary art, quotidian life and the natural world.
