PHOTOS: 'Dog-head Brother' is China's latest internet celebrity

41-year-old Cai Tangmei is China's latest internet celebrity — and deservedly at that.

Also known as Old Cai, or now simply 'Dog-head Brother,' the Jiangxi native has lived in Cixi, Zhejiang for 14 years now, working as a porter for local ceramics firm.

When he's not too busy at work, Old Cai periodically thwacks his head against a sand bag to toughen it up.

Old Cai often watches TV standing on his head in order to strengthen his neck, a habit his wife is evidently far too accustomed to.

Or sometimes, he just does it when he's feeling blue:

"When you can't stop yourself from crying, just stand upside down. This way, the tears can't come out."

Previously, Cai worked as a porter for a plastics factory. Because the stairwell there was so narrow, he had to get used to using his head to transport loads.

Cai can carry over 200 kilograms in concrete sacks on the top of his head. He hopes to break the Guinness World Record and show off his talent on the China Dream Show someday.

Old Cai got the idea to ride around with the concrete and canine combo on his head shortly after getting his pet dog Xiao Hei. When Cai started training with him he realized that the pooch's sense of balance was pretty good, and decided to step things up a notch.

Now, Cai commutes to work every morning with Xiao Hei perched on a sack of concrete weighing about 100 kilograms atop his head. Sounds a bit dangerous but we're sure he knows what he's doing.

At least we hope so...

But hey, even if the celebrity porter thing doesn't pan out, at least there's always the world of Shaolin soccer. 'Iron Head Cai' has got a nice ring to it, too.
