Yesterday afternoon, a mysterious man in a Mickey Mouse outfit was proclaimed the winner of a mighty RMB497 million jackpot at the Shandong Province Sports Lottery Management Center.

The owner of a local shoe market who wished to remain anonymous, "Mickey" donated RMB20 million of his tax-reduced RMB397.6 million winnings to help the underprivileged. Mr. Mouse described the lottery process as "refreshing" and said he had been buying lottery tickets for years now.

When asked about how he felt, he said, "I never thought I would have the opportunity to win." As for his next move, he says that his win won't change his life much as he wants to continue leading a normal life. He hopes to support and do good for the public.

The director of the lottery center obliged his request to maintain his privacy and was all praise for the modest mouse. "The winner is a very caring person," he said, "his voluntary contributions will be used to set up 'China Sports Lottery Lotto 497 Million Kindness Funds' to help the community. The center will be established with [the winner's] contributions in accordance with the fund management regulations. I hope everyone continues to support the Sports Lottery with love."
