A Shaanxi Province man faces confinement of his own after imprisoning his ex-girlfriend in a suitcase and attempting to wheel her off to his hometown after she tried to leave him and end their love affair.

(Why she would wish to leave such a man we will never know...)

Fortunately, the 1.6 meter-tall girl was discovered crammed into the case when the driver hired to transport the bag from Xi'an to Liaoning Province overheard her crying.

Coming to the aid of this damsel in distress, he succeeded in persuading the man to free his ex-girlfriend.

Police have detained the man and are currently investigating the what we can only assume will be a shut and open and shut again case...
