PHOTOS: Stunning Sunset in Hainan Before Tropical Storm Arrives

Tropical depression Ewiniar made landfall just north of Hainan this morning, touching down on Guangdong’s Leizhou Peninsula. But in the proverbial ‘calm before the storm’ on Monday evening, residents in Sanya – Hainan Island’s beach resort boomtown – captured some gorgeous sunset photos that we couldn’t resist sharing with you.
