Saturday night saw Shanghai SIPG got their Chinese Super League campaign off to a flying start with an 8-0 win over newly promoted Dalian Yifang at Shanghai Stadium. Oscar opened the scoring for SIPG after just 30 seconds, the Brazilian going on to score a hatrick. Oscar also set up two for Wu Lei, who also bagged a hatrick, while Hulk and Lu Wenjun rounded off the route. Unsuriprsingly, the result leaves SIPG top of the table.

Friday night had seen Shanghai Shenhua frustrated in a 1-1 draw with Changchun Yatai at Hongkou Stadium. New signing Paraguayan Oscar Romero gave the Blues the lead, but a second half reply from Fan Xiaodong meant honors ended even. Watch the highlights here:
