Mobile phone thief sends victim handwritten list of contacts

A man in Changsha, Hunan province whose phone was stolen from his car was shocked when he received a courier-delivered package containing, not his phone, but a list of all his contacts

Zou Bin (a pseudonym) sent a text message to his stolen handset, requesting its return and offering a reward. To his surprise, a few days later he received a package. Looking inside there was no phone, but there was his sim card, and an 11 page handwritten list of his contacts, including full names and phone numbers.

Guilty thieves seem to be a trend at the moment. A woman surnamed Yu in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province woke up on Wednesday morning to discover that she'd been burgled, and the robbers left a note

"Please lock your door and windows well before you sleep. Girl, you just slept like a rock…life isn't easy for a single man, and I had to do this to support myself. Please forgive me," the note said. (Props for the Ryan Gosling meme reference.)

To add insult to injury, the note was written in Yu's own notebook. Yu told police she'd forgotten to lock the door that night because she was "too tired".
