Katy Perry unfortunately can't make it to Shanghai for the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (rumor has it she couldn't get a visa and is "banned from China"), but the show must go on.
And go on it will tonight, thanks to what appears to be a last minute replacement act for Perry.

Joining Harry Styles, Miguel and Leslie Odom Jr. (of Hamilton: An American Musical fame) on stage for the musical set of the show will be megastar Chinese singer-songwriter Jane Zhang. Victoria's Secret confirmed the lineup on Twitter over the weekend.

Zhang, who hails from Chengdu in Sichuan province, became a household name 2005 after winning third place in the reality singing show Super Girl. Her R&B/pop music style is said to be influenced by the likes of Mariah Carey, Beverly Knight and Teresa Teng.
Nicknamed the "Dolphin Princess" due to her impressive vocal range ("dolphin notes" is Chinese slang for artists who can reach high notes), Zhang has released six studio albums, most recently The Seventh Sense in 2014. She's also received a handful of awards, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Worldwide Act in 2015. Zhang also made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 2009.
Zhang sings in both Chinese and English, and released the Timbaland-produced single "Dust My Shoulders Off" last year. Here's the art-inspired music video (VPN off):
Speaking of visas: a source tells People that Victoria's Secret secured more than 700 of them (!) for this week's big event. But Gigi Hadidn't make the cut.
Though the show's filming date has not been made public, it's basically all but confirmed to be taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena tonight. It will be broadcast in more than 190 countries, with US channel CBS playing the show on November 28 at 10pm Eastern Standard Time.
