A viral video shows Beijing commuters come together and literally push a subway car to help free a man who was stuck in the gap between the train and platform at Dongzhimen station. Talk about heroism.
Watch below (VPN off):
The incident occurred on Thursday evening during rush hour on Line 2. After a man got his leg caught in the gap, security staff rushed to help him. However, they were unable to free him. At that point, dozens of commuters started pushing the train, chanting “One, two, three! One, two, three!”
Once the man was freed (after about 20 minutes), the crowd burst into applause.
This isn't the first time commuters have worked together to free trapped subway passengers. A similar incident occurred in Guangzhou back in May after an elderly woman slipped and got her leg caught between the subway car and platform.
