The unbelievable photo above was captured in Taipei recently, showing heavy rainfall hammering half the city, while the other half appears to escape the deluge.
According to the Daily Mail, the unusual precipitation was photographed by Jeff Chen.
Weather experts stated that the storm captured in the photo is not unusual for Taiwan’s summer months, and can be attributed to the uneven distribution of moisture.
The accumulation of moisture has been known to cause isolated downpours in the region, but to capture the moment so beautifully is not as common.
At the center of the photo is the famous Taipei 101 building, which appears to mark the divide between apocalyptic monsoon and casually overcast skies.
