At least 90 firetrucks were called to the scene after a huge fire broke out at a Tianjin paper company Wednesday night.
The fire, which started at 7.20pm in the goods yard of Xinnan Paper Company in Binhai New Area free trade zone, took over 12 hours to extinguish. No casualties were reported.
The flames were finally put out at 7.30am Thursday morning after strong winds hampered rescue efforts.
The goods yard where the blaze took place is around 7,400 square meters in size and was holding nearly 10,000 tonnes of waste paper at the time of the incident.
Drone imagery circulating online showed the affected area:
The factory fire took place just three kilometers away from the site of the deadly 2015 Tianjin chemical warehouse explosion, which killed 165 people and injured another 800.
Authorities noted that Wednesday night's blaze took place away from residential zones, and that no other entreprises were in the area. Additionally, no secondary disasters occurred as a result of the fire.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
