Post-apocalyptic photos of an impossible-to-find metro station in the outskirts of Chongqing are going viral on WeChat, with netizens nicknaming it the "oddest station."

Behold, the worst metro station:

Caojiawan Station on Chongqing Metro Line 6 opened in October 2015, but it hardly ever receives commuters. The station is located in the middle of a barren wasteland, with the path to its only entrance obscured by grass, weeds and mud. And it's not even a terminal station!

The station has just one lonely exit, though three were originally planned. A rather sad-looking unused elevator appears near one of those unopened exits, while shubbery has grown over dreams of what could have been:

Station workers say they almost never see passengers at Caojiawan.

"Usually there are rare passengers," a staff member told Chonging Morning Post on Monday. "It is quite normal to see no passengers here."

To make matters worse, a municipal road has not been built near the station, which means there are no connecting bus stops in sight.

Since Caojjiawan Station is not close to any major roads, passengers have to take a van to get there.
