Traffic police faced off with a cudgel-wielding group that was apparently trying to protect an illegal taxi operation in Shenzhen’s Longhua, reports Tencent news.
After an April 25 tipoff about a green fake taxi near Guihua Road, Longhua traffic enforcement police arrived around 1.35pm and began checking the information of nearby taxis, eventually discovering that six were fake.
That’s when the group of five reportedly attacked, with one attempting to drive away in one of the cars outfitted as a taxi. More officers responded and two suspects were seized. They are currently being investigated for violation of criminal laws.
