With the tomb sweeping festival right around the corner, cemeteries are now starting to introduce pre-planned funerals

This idea might take some time for acceptance as "talking about death is believed to bring ill fortune by many Chinese people" according to Wang Hongjie, director of the Shanghai Funeral Industry Association.

The service, which will set you back RMB6,000-10,000, provides tailor-made funerals and includes 'peace-of-mind for your loved-ones' who won't have to worry about signing contracts with funeral service providers.

Hospice care, death education and memorial services will also be included in the new pre-planned funeral offerings, in order to help families deal with the grieving process more easily.
