Official investigation is underway after a father, surnamed Zhang, found out that his 14-year-old daughter was working at Mook, a nightclub in Shanghai.
"Her cleavage was exposed, and I was scared to death when I saw her like that," Zhang stated after seeing her sitting behind the bar one night wearing skimpy clothing, thick make-up and fake eyelashes.
He tried to get her to come back home with him, but she refused. Though she promised to return home with him initially, she ended up escaping by running out the back door of the venue.
Zhang told local media she hasn't come back since and now blocks all of his calls.
His daughter also allegedly said that other teenage girls work at the bar, with the oldest one being just 16 years old. One of the young hostesses allegedly had not gone back home in over a year.
It was also reported by a local radio station that a girl who appeared to be 12 or 13 years old was also working as a hostess at the club. But she was ushered away by fellow staff before reporters were able to ask questions.
Jing'an authorities announced they're inspecting similar venues in the area following Zhang's desperate plea to local media.
