Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau has been injured in a horse-riding accident.
Lau was filming a commmercial in Thailand at the time of the incident. During the shoot, the 56-year-old actor and singer fell off the horse when it suddenly lost control. The horse then stepped on his back, giving him spinal fractures.
Lau was taken to a nearby hospital in Thailand and was eventually transported back to Hong Kong on a medical flight. He is currently receiving treatment in Hong Kong.
"We will update everyone with any new developments on the matter," Lau's spokesperson said.
Lau is one of Hong Kong's most famous actors and Cantopop singers. His movie credits include Days of Being Wild, Detective Dee, The House of Flying Daggers and The Warlords.
