Wanda boss and China's richest man Wang Jianlin surprised employees at his company's annual Chinese New Year gala over the weekend by serenading them with classic Chinese rock and roll songs.
Wang was accompanied by costumed dancers in gowns as he performed renditions of classic songs and just generally looked like he was in a real-life 1970s KTV video. He apparently "brought the house down," according to this Wanda Group press release.
Here he is singing “Nothing to My Name" by Chinese rocker Cui Jian:
And here he takes on Zang Tianshuo's "Friends," another classic:
Here he is belting out "Waiting" by Han Lei:
He even tried a traditional Huangmei Opera tune!
This isn't the first time Wang subjected his staff to his singing skills — last year, he also rocked out at the annual Wanda Spring Festival party.
Wang made his fortune through his Dalian Wanda Group, which owns Wanda Cinemas, the world’s largest chain of movie theaters, and Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties. He's also a and minority owner of Atlético Madrid, and is set to become even wealthier following the opening a cluster of Wanda theme parks across China, and has even vowed to take down Shanghai Disneyland.
