Fish in Wuzhen's water town now have a gigantic buddy for company. The "Floating Fish" made its debut last month, kicking off the Wuzhen International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Zhejiang province from March 28 to June 26. The exhibition features 130 works from 15 countries and regions.

The inflatable fish is designed by Florentijn Hofman, father of the infamous Giant Rubber Duck and its Taiwan companion, the Giant Rabbit. (Both died in tragic accidents. RIP).

The fish is 15 meters long and 7 meters tall, covered with pink, yellow and orange scales, which are made of recyclable floating plates. It is reported to be tailor-made for the water theater of Wuzhen. Like his previous large-scale outdoor sculptures, the "Floating Fish" was built to bring joy to people, Hofman said in an interview with Zhejiang Online.
