Nothing goes together quite like gallons of alcohol and rollercoasters, so it’s little wonder a hundred people tried to down a washbasin full of beer each in an attempt to win free entrance to a theme park, reports People's Daily.

Possibly inspired by a recent People’s Daily article extolling the virtues of drinking beer, Happy Valley in Wuhan hosted the chugging competition to crown a ‘beer king.’

Contestants were challenged to drink four 500 ml bottles of Tsingtao from a suitably large receptacle in five minutes.

The champion chugger was reportedly a man who finished his washbasin in under two minutes.
