What started as a sizable fire turned into a mushroom cloud-explosion in Rizhao, Shandong Province, this morning, as a petroleum plant burst into flames. No casualties have yet to be reported.

According to CRI, the fire broke out at 7.30am, triggered by a chemical leak that eventually ignited. Firefighters were quickly on the scene and, thankfully, seem to have been able to get out of the way before the explosion.
