An elderly woman in Fujian was arrested after she violently assaulted a bus driver with her crutches. 70-year-old Xin Mouzhen attacked the driver when he refused to open the doors for her in the middle of a busy road.

Xin had asked to alight after realizing she had gotten on the wrong bus. She became enraged when the driver told her he could only stop at a bus station and started hitting the door with her crutches before turning her fury on the hapless driver, beating his forearm while he was still driving.

When the driver stopped the bus to call the police, Xin tried to make her getaway. Before attempting her failed escape, the elderly woman picked up the bus' trash can and threw it at the driver.

The incident, along with the unfortunate driver crying over his steering wheel afterwards, was captured on video by the security camera on board the bus. The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Xin, meanwhile, was fined RMB200 and detained for seven days.
