The former England international and H&M underwear model attended a photocall for watchmaker Breitling on Thursday, as a squad including several of his former teammates headed to Brazil for the FIFA World Cup.

Beckham has seen his star rise in China in recent years due to his appointment as global soccer ambassador for the Chinese Super League (CLS), a role he says he is "very proud" of.

The sporting legend has made several trips to the PRC recently, most recently in April for the Beijing Auto Show.

His latest trip came in the same week his bid to build a stadium on Miami's waterfront was denied for the second time. Securing a stadium will be crucial to fulfilling Beckham's dream of launching his own Major League Soccer (MLS) club in the States.
