Rail Europe has launched a dedicated WeChat Mini Program, making it easier for travelers from China to book train journeys across Europe.

This new platform, which is currently only available in simplified Chinese, caters specifically to the growing demand for mobile-friendly solutions and streamlines the booking process for travelers who prefer to use WeChat.

The platform provides real-time train schedules, ticket prices, and the ability to purchase both point-to-point tickets and rail passes.

Payments are supported in RMB via WeChat Pay, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience, and paperless tickets are delivered directly to users’ smartphones.

“Our goal is to remove any barriers, whether technical or linguistic, to make European train travel more accessible for our customers in China,” said Björn Bender, CEO of Rail Europe.

Rail Europe’s new service includes partnerships with major rail operators such as Eurail, Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn (DB), and Renfe, allowing travelers to explore some of Europe’s most iconic destinations.

Additionally, Rail Europe has collaborated with Switzerland Tourism and Swiss Travel System to provide users with exclusive offers, such as mountain excursions and scenic lake cruises.

Looking ahead, Rail Europe has planned special promotions to further enhance the user experience:

  • From September 20, 2024, to October 31, 2024, travelers can enjoy a RMB100 discount on their first order (for total orders exceeding RMB1,800)*

*This limited-time promotion is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additionally, Rail Europe will be launching an official account on the popular Chinese social media platform, Xiaohongshu (小红书), where users can access more travel content, product updates, and interactive experiences.
