UPDATE: More Beijing Subway Stations Closed Due to COVID-19

As part of Beijing’s response to tackling the latest COVID-19 outbreak in the city, more subway stations are closed until further notice, as reported on the Beijing Subway WeChat Official Account. 

Below is a full list of stations; those highlighted in bold are closed as of May 10: 

Line 1 (Batong Line)

Gaobeidian, Chuanmei Daxue (Communications University of China), Shuangqiao, Guanzhuang, Baliqiao, Sihui Dong, Sihui, Dawang Lu, Guomao, Yong’an Li, Huanqiu Dujiaqu (Universal Resort)

Line 5

Heping Xiqiao, Huixin Xi Jie Beikou, Datun Lu  Dong

Line 6

Caofang, Qingnian Lu, Jintai Lu, Baishiqiao Nan, Huayuanqiao, Beiyunhe Dong, Beiyunhe Xi

Line 7

With the exception of Universal Resort, passengers can change lines as normal from within interchange stations, but cannot exit or enter said stations. 


Since April 22, Beijing has recorded 836 locally transmitted cases of the virus, as reported at the 330th Press Conference on COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control by the Beijing Information Office.

Between 3pm, May 9 and 3pm May 10, Beijing recorded 59 new locally transmitted cases with 25 in Chaoyang district, 14 in Fangshan, nine in Haidian, six in Shunyi, three in Xicheng, one in Fengtai and one in Tongzhou. Of the new cases, a total of 58 were identified in areas already under stricter COVID control measures. 

In addition to the China World Trade Shopping Mall in Guomao, the Parkview Green Fangcaodi Shopping Center has also temporarily suspended all business, expect for restaurants doing take-out and the in-mall supermarket.
