Located alongside the picturesque Yanqi Lake and Yan Mountain, the lush Yanqi Island ushers in its most charming season in the early autumn days. Surrounded by a lake, mountain and forest, the architecturally Chinese-style group of properties, including Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilion, Beijing Yanqi Hotel, Beijing Yanqi Lake International Conference Center and Yanqi Pagoda, is all the more elegant and magnificent during this beautiful time of year.

Managed by Kempinski, Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilion is located on various parts of Yanqi Island and has 12 individual houses with a total of 178 guestrooms and suites. The houses range in size from 6,000 to 9,000 square meters and house between 10 and 19 guestrooms and suites in each building. The hotels blend contemporary and traditional design with thematic decor inspired by the Chinese Imperial Gardens of Beijing and the concept of the siheyuan – a traditional courtyard – combined with modern elements. Each building houses an indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped gymnasium, a game room, a library, meeting rooms and spa treatment rooms. Guests can even experience some private and luxury leisure time in their own stylish guestrooms with a view of the lush greenery.

pjimage---2020-08-28T002521_627.jpgThere are four distinctive restaurants in Yanqi Hotel, each bringing exciting food experiences for guests. Waterside, an upscale all-day dining restaurant, offers seafood-inspired delights and an extensive buffet as well as brunch. Lake Palace, with eight private dining rooms, is a modern and stylish fine-dining Chinese restaurant with delicious authentic dishes from Huaiyang, Sichuan, Canton and Beijing. The Library is a tranquil and engaging place to meet over a cup of tea, or indulge in a premium selection of beverages and tantalising light snacks. The signature ‘Silk Road’ afternoon tea will delight patrons with its exquisite layout and wonderful taste.

Besides the stunning natural beauty on Yanqi Island, guests can follow a professional guide to enjoy the Yanqi Island tour and visit the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Conference Center, Summer Garden and Yanqi Pagoda, which beautifully demonstrate the integration of a traditional Chinese architectural style with Royal Garden characteristics. The Yanqi Lake cruise is another fabulous experience, providing guests with a special view of the shimmering lake and all the beautiful scenery surrounding it. For those keen on sports, Yanqi Island is an ideal place for jogging and cycling, with fresh air and a natural landscape.

Families staying at the resort needn’t worry: Kempinski Kids Club provides a number of facilities for the precious little ones to enjoy their time in a safe area. Interesting activities such as a trampoline, mischievous castle, slide, ocean ball, building blocks and space sand, along with various children’s books, are waiting for kids between 4-12 years old. Apart from that, the regularly offered kid-parent DIY craft activities are popular among family guests. The annual football camp, astronomy camp and exciting science projects create unforgettable family times.

What are you waiting for? It’s time to take a break at Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilion, where you can spend a tranquil weekend away from hectic city life and find serenity in nature.
