The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) said it will allow some spectators to watch games in Shandong’s Qingdao city just in time for the playoffs.

The CBA has officially resumed ticket sales online for the public for games starting Friday, July 31.

The league allowed medical staff, teachers and public security personnel to book tickets for two games this past Sunday.

As you can imagine, there will be strict social distancing guidelines for these matches. Those who attend must be at least 12 years old and receive a COVID-19 test certificate within the last 48 hours. Once inside the arena, spectators will need to keep a distance of one meter between each other and wear masks.

The league resumed its 2019-2020 season on June 20 after halting play in late January due to the coronavirus outbreak. All games have since been played in empty arenas in Qingdao and Dongguan.
