Arkham

Arkham’s main focus is to draw in more underground electronic artists and hip-hop acts than your typical club venue. Since its opening, the venue has reeled in up-and-coming hip-hop names like MadeinTYO and bigger fish like Jaden Smith.

Turkish Feast

Turkish Feast is enchanting: The entrance is bejeweled with mosaic lamps and the entire decor has a strong Turkish feel. A blend of traditional and ostensibly Top 40 Middle Eastern songs blare throughout the restaurant, but it’s hardly bothersome. Instead, it adds to the jovial atmosphere, bolstered by TVs playing travel shows about Turkey and a staff of wonderfully kind men who seem to treat all of their patrons as family.

Lucky

There’s a new cat in Sanlitun – and it has four Pink Panthers gazing off the balconies. Yes, Lucky is a restaurant and bar themed around a hip casino that, er, plays country music? Flashy murals accent the place, with a few options for games: pool, roulette and craps. If you aren’t feeling so lucky, they also have sports playing on TV screens to keep you entertained.

Elephant Grounds

New cafe Elephant Grounds is pretty hip. It’s a chic little breakfast spot for when you’re in a hurry, but still have enough time to Instagram your meal. Though, the small but bright space makes for a cozy longer stay too, especially since it’s on the quieter side of the busy Taikoo Li.

Moscow Restaurant Ice Bar

The lavish (we’re talking gargantuan chandeliers and over-the-top
golden accents) Moscow Restaurant has recently opened an ice bar out front where you
can sip on vodka and taste some caviar in freezing temperatures, all while sporting an enormous fur coat and
hat.

Berry Beans

Regular Sanlitun strollers may have noticed that hole-in-the-wall coffee spot Chunli Coffee has been rebranded into the smallest home of Berry Beans. The charming coffee house has mostly the same aesthetic as the previous tenant (new additions include a light-up red sign that reads ‘Espresso’ in the back), just offering their own beans and brews.
