Show off that fancy footwork at Dada on Saturday night, where they'll have Chicago-based dance music DJ and producer RP Boo perform his legendary style of the footwork genre, which he is known to have originally founded. The pioneering DJ broke major ground in 2013 thanks to his European debut at Unsound Festival in Krakow and has since been touring all over the globe. The Beijing show will be one of the last few stops on his 12-city summer tour.
Mastermind presents a double dose of Japanese music at Yue Space this Sunday night, featuring DJ Mitsu the Beats and afrobeat band .A/NAOITO. DJ Mitsu the Beats has gained notoriety in recent years, but his 2003 debut album New Awakening is where it all started. He will be joined by .A/NAOITO, a group that consists of eight unique members that have international experience, incorporating jazz, Brazilian, Latin and rock influences with Afrobeat to create a unique sound and rhythm.
