Here, a roundup of things we ate and gossiped about this month – for journalism, for research, for you, readers.
It’s March already, huh? That means I’ve officially made it through my first Beijing winter. With the warmer weather almost in full swing, I’m already daydreaming of brunching on rooftops and drinking on terraces. And I’m not even an outdoor person.
Over on Xinyuanli, Pachapapi is ready for springtime too. The lively Peruvian restaurant is bringing you some solid spring specials every night of the week: Get all orders of ceviche with a free glass of wine on Wednesdays, RMB30 pisco sours for ladies on Thursdays and more.

But it’s not all sunny. Sad news in Sanlitun: Gertz Danish Bakery in Taikooli enjoyed its final moments before shutting down last month. The smell of cinnamon pastries and freshly baked bread will only comfort us in our sweet, sweet dreams now. (Though rumor has it that they’re relocating to 1949 The Hidden City this summer...) But don’t worry – until then, you can load up on carbs at The Daily Bagel at their relocated cafe in Maizidian.

When one door opens, another… OK, you know the deal. That new spot is Tease by CreatureS – a stylish restaurant specializing in modern Asian soul food and some killer cocktails to match. Stay tuned for our full review.
