Update: Voyage Coffee is still operating with a side entrance to their Beiluoguxiang location.

Well, it's official – the fateful bricks are back. Earlier today, Voyage Coffee, the minimal third-wave coffee shop on Beiluoguxiang, was spotted almost completely covered. This is the trendy coffee shop's second branch, with the original location in 798

It's no secret that Beiluoguxiang has been facing recent renovations, with a few establishments closing their doors over the past couple weeks. At the moment, there are no further details on what will be affected next with the continuing construction, but Voyage Coffee's unexpected hit proves that the fate of the popular hutong seems quite dismal.

This comes days after beloved hutong bars Nina and Modernista announced that they would be closing temporarily for renovations, with Nina set to resume operations at the end of this weekend and Modernista following not too far behind.
